It was a night of invigorating discussion when Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Education & Ministry of Communications and Information graced our RC4 Perspectives, a Cognitio event. The issues debated upon were Singapore's progress as a smart nation and the kinds of challenges we are facing on that journey. This topic is particularly relevant to RC4, where we 'systems citizens' are active in analysing complex problems facing us in the 21st century.

Dr. Puthucheary was generous in his responses to the many questions posed to him from both staff and students, and the session proved to be one that touched a chord with what many felt were pressing concerns in our contemporary society, as well as in Singapore's future.
