What is....
Systems Thinking ?
Systems thinking is seeking solutions to challenging problems facing humankind.
By breaking down big ideas into smaller subsystems, students will work towards holistic understanding of complex problems — problems that matter to society — and develop solutions.
Why Systems Thinking?
Each problem is a complex whole, with relationships and patterns amongst phenomena and factors that may seem distant. We must take into account those relationships and patterns to understand the consequences and trade-offs of different solutions.
What Are Systems?
Systems are a group of interacting, separate parts that act to form a unified whole. A system, surrounded and influenced by its environment, is described by its boundaries, structure and purpose and expressed in its functioning.
