Angie Chew Gim Leng
Angie started her career as an entrepreneur, building a software business when she was 25 years of age. She subsequently sold the business to the EDS Group and joined Accenture to spearhead the global sales and marketing of the Financial Services solutions built for Deutsche Bank Asia Pacific. After a successful selling career in Accenture, she moved to Visa International to head up the Member Services South East Asia office, inculcating a customer-oriented culture to drive efficiency to achieve excellent support services at lower cost to the 200 banks across S.E.A and Indian sub-continent.
She then joined Singapore Airlines as Vice-President to lead the 100-strong Application Projects team to deliver IT projects for the SIA Group comprising of SIA, Silk Air, SATS, Tradewinds, SIA Engineering and SIA Cargo. It became the top performing team in the IT division as it had the lowest staff turnover, earning the highest internal customer satisfaction. She established project management processes and governance to achieve standard and structured approach to delivering projects. She was subsequently recruited to establish the Portfolio & Program Management Department at the Ministry of Health Holdings and was later appointed CIO of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts and the National Heritage Board simultaneously. She served as a Client Principal specializing in Travel and Transport in Hewlett-Packard Singapore and is currently the Executive Director and Principal Mindfulness Trainer at Brahm Centre, a charity with IPC status.
