A huge thank you to everyone who came down for the RC4 Open House 2026! We loved showing you our spaces, curriculum and giving a glimpse into what makes RC4 home for all of us.

RC4 has successfully defended their Inter-College Games (ICG) crown, leading the medal tally for the second consecutive year. This year’s ICG featured an unprecedented 31 sports – ranging from physical sports, e-sports to mind sports. After a close battle over the past 5 weeks, RC4 ended the Games with 8.5 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 5 Bronze Medals.

Overall champions in the 2025 Inter-College Games (ICG), the RC4 team are back this year, hungry for more. With over 200 residents proudly donning the RC4 Jerseys, we are in for a busy 5-week period where 30 different sports, e-sports and mind sports will be competed between the 5 Residential Colleges and NUS College.

Every morning, the first person we see as we walk out our doors usually isn’t a student or a fellow resident but instead, it’s usually one of RC4’s many hardworking cleaning staff. For the residents of Ursa, that’s Uncle Jaya.

For a week in October 2025, RC4 hosted a series of inspiring Woodcarving and Printmaking Workshop, spanning four days, led by local artist Zhang Fuming, whose works explore the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern expression. The session brought together students from diverse disciplines, all eager to experience the tactile and meditative process of working with wood and ink.

When Andre (Year 4) looks back at his time in RC4, he thinks about the late-night suppers and spontaneous movie sessions, but he also remembers stepping into leadership roles without clear guidance, figuring things out as he went along. Now in his final year, he’s working with his team to change that experience for future student leaders. RC4’s new Senior Project course has actualised the roles of RC4’s more experienced residents. They are no longer just staying longer, they are also building the foundation for everyone who comes after them.

Every Inter-House Games has its champions, but few have stories like this year’s. In 2024, Draco finished last overall. In 2025, they rose to the top, writing one of the most remarkable comebacks in RC4 sporting history. Year 1 student, Sarah, recaps on some of the highlights of IHG 2025.
