For Robbie Chia (Aquila, Year 4), this once-unfamiliar game has become both a passion and a defining part of his RC4 journey. A prominent figure in the RC4 sports scene, Robbie is known for his versatility. He competed in 7 different sports in the recent Inter-House Games. The origin of his sporting journey in RC4? It all began with Tchoukball.

On 16 September 2025, RC4 residents embarked on an unforgettable journey through the cosmos at the semesterly Formal Dinner, themed “Nebular Soirée”. What happens when policy theory encounters real-world experiences far from home? As part of the impact stories from students involved in the Teaching Enhancement Grant – Learning Community (LC) project titled “Design Principles for Impact-Driven Policy Education,” a group of students from Residential College 4, led by Grace Ng (Year 2, Computing), shared how their Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative (SFI) trips inspired them to explore new themes and contexts.

The Orcas triumphed at the 2025 Inter-College Games, clinching 7 golds, 3 silvers, and 5 bronzes. RC4 shone in diverse events, with standout performances in both traditional and e-sports. The spirit of exploring and trying out new sports thrives on, exemplified by “Super-Athlete” Yap Xin Ying’s passion and dedication.

On Monday and Wednesday mornings, an inviting aroma fills the RC4 lobby. It is the signature aroma of RC4’s Coffee Interest Group as they host their biweekly coffee drive for residents. For students, this is not just a pleasant and familiar fragrance; it’s a much-needed morale boost as they gear up for a day of learning ahead!

University is huge and unknown, so how can you feel a sense of home? Look no further than the five houses of RC4, the very core of the Residential College experience. Late-night supper jios, eating meals together in the Dining Hall, playing games on donated game consoles in the lounges past midnight, pulling all-nighters, you name it. No matter the time of day, your house will be your family away from home. Student journalist, Josiah (Aquila resident) gives an insight into the inner workings of his house!

From 10 to 14 February 2025, RC4 residents came together to celebrate the vibrant culture of ASEAN through ASEAN Week. This week-long series of engaging activities, workshops, and culinary experiences provided a platform for residents to immerse themselves in the traditions, history, and arts of the region!
