Residential College 4 is the third residential college in University Town (UTown®) to offer the University Town College Programme (UTCP).
Admission is usually for two years.

How to Apply

Interested applicants should submit an online application via the Joint Residential College Application System. You will be assessed based on your essays and interview, in addition to your academic achievements and co-curricular experiences. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

This admissions exercise is not applicable to:

    1. Students enrolled or previously enrolled in the UTCP at College of Alice & Peter Tan, Residential College 4, and Tembusu College;
    2. Students enrolled or previously enrolled in the University Scholars Programme;
    3. Students enrolled or previously enrolled in Ridge View Residential College Programme;
    4. Students enrolled or previously enrolled in NUS College;
    5. Current NUS undergraduates.

How Much Will it Cost?

There are no programme fees, but you will need to bear the cost of accommodation and meals. For the latest updates on the relevant fees, please click here.

Financial Aid/Scholarships

There are a number of financial aid opportunities available to students residing in the Residential Colleges. You are strongly encouraged to apply for the bursaries and/or scholarships concurrently (during the application window), while waiting for your NUS results outcome and/or the residential college admission outcome.

Room Registration

Successful applicants are required to complete a room registration process via University Hostel Management System (UHMS) portal. Please note that the UHMS portal with RC option is only available to candidates who have been offered admission into RC4 and NUS. We Invite You to Apply

If you are enrolled in or applying to NUS' undergraduate degree programmes, we invite you to submit an application for admissions to Residential College 4 for Academic Year 2024-2025.

Interview period for shortlisted candidates: April - June 2024

Note:

    • As there will only be ONE application window per academic year, you are strongly encouraged to apply even if you have not received an offer to join an undergraduate degree programme in NUS yet. Ultimately, admission into the RC Programmes (i.e UTCP) is contingent upon your acceptance of an offer to pursue an undergraduate degree programme in NUS.
    • By joining Residential College 4, you will participate in the UTCP. You are expected to read at least one RC course per semester while residing in the College until you complete UTCP. (Not applicable to students from non-modular faculties*)
    • Meal plans are a compulsory part of community life and applicable to all students admitted to the College. Read here for more information.
