RC4: An Incubator of Ideas and Solutions
The RC4 Student Pitching Competition is designed to spark innovation, tackle contemporary challenges through cutting edge & transformative ideas and strengthen the culture of entrepreneurship by offering students hands-on opportunities to turn business ideas into reality!

RC4 Pitching Competition 2025

Total of $100,000 to incubate at least 10 entrepreneurial projects of RC4 students over a period of 2-3 years.

Each winning group can recieve up to $10,000!

Pitching Day: 2 April 2025, 4pm
Benefits of the RC4 Student Entrepreneurship Seed Fund
- Receive seed fund of up to $10,000 with twelve months to complete the project (disbursed in two phases)
- Access to RC4 resources for mentoring, including RC4 alumni, industry and academic partners, student interest groups and student communities, and workspaces
- Access to other resources including those from BLOCK71 (network of start-up companies, workspaces, mentoring, talks/workshops, etc) and Engineering Design & Innovation Centre.
- Possibility of a green lane for incubation at BLOCK71.

Eligibility Criteria

Each team should have 5 members, with at least one member in team comes from a different faculty.*

Team members must be current RC4 residents or former RC4 residents who are current NUS students, with 2-3 current residents*

Projects should address a current painpoint/existing market need and show potential for scale-up.

Project ideas should be addressing contemporary challenges using cutting edge solutions.
*If there are issues in meeting these team requirements, exemptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis (only with strong justification). Please contact Dr. Naviyn for further clarification.
Important Notes on Eligibility

The project should have originated in RC4 (formally or informally), whether through classes, interest groups/pods, or casual, organic conversations that took place within the RC4 community.

Proxying for existing projects, startups, or ideas involving external stakeholders is not allowed and will be considered academic dishonesty. This may lead to disqualification and disciplinary action by the university.

Key founders (e.g., CEO, CTO, CFO) should be affiliated with RC4, either as current or former residents who are still enrolled as NUS students (including those on SEP/NOC), and should have contributed to the origin of the idea.
Fund Disbursement and Project Timeline

The winning team will be required to sign an agreement with the college to formalize these terms.
