"I remember my first meeting in RC4 – with a group of student leaders who had an inspired take on the name of RC4. At the time, some new students were critical of a boring name which seemed to be just a number (after all, RC1, 2 and 3 had been renamed into names of donors or of trees). “But why not think of it as RC-for? An RC for a better world, an RC for adventures, an RC for whatever that we can dream of,” the student leaders said."

Oscar Turns 10!

Residents, faculty, staff and guests immersed themselves at RC4's Informal Dinner to celebrate Oscar’s birthday and coming dressed up in their best birthday party costumes! The evening was filled with great food, live music and dazzling performances by RC4's own talents.
Ops Tealsday 2024

Ops Tealsday is an annual tradition at Residential College 4 whereby residents display their RC4 pride by adorning the college shirt, symbolizing unity and belonging within the RC4 community. It had an even greater significance as it coincided with RC4's 10th anniversary celebration and the grand opening of Oasis, a serene space thoughtfully co-created by RC4 staff, faculty, and students.

Alumni Homecoming & Rector's Cup 2024

Residential College 4 held our annual Alumni Homecoming, which coincided with the RC4 Rector's Cup, a friendly sports match between alumni and student teams. The evening was filled with music, reconnections, and nostalgic reminiscences, serving as a heartfelt celebration of the bonds formed within the college community over the past decade.

RC4's Parents’ Night gives parents the opportunity to understand the college's living-learning opportunities and their children’s educational journey. It also showcases RC4’s achievements and future direction, while strengthening parent-college relationships.
10th Anniversary Symposium

This one-day symposium features invited speakers, paper presenters, plenary talks by systems thinking pioneers, and a forum with RC4 current and past leadership. The theme is "Interconnected Horizons: Systems Thinking, Communities, and Entrepreneurship" with the focus on systems thinking cutting across the three key threads: policymaking for the 21st century, communities & engagement, and technology, innovation & entrepreneurship.
10th Anniversary Gala Dinner

This anniversary dinner will unite students, alumni, partners, friends, supporters, and potential collaborators of RC4 to celebrate our achievements, reflect on our journey, and set the stage for future endeavors. On this occasion, RC4 will also launch a new initative that aims to widen access to the RC4 experience to more students.
10th Anniversary Literary Anthology Publication
August to December 2024
This milestone anthology will showcase the creative works of our students, alumni, and staff - celebrating RC4's diverse talents. Submissions in fiction, nonfiction, essays, poetry, photographic essays, and visual arts will be welcomed.
