Noctua House: Values in Action – Intergenerational Equity Program

Noctua House initiated the ‘Values in Action’ (VIA) initiative that provided a space for student to design and execute events that resonated with their passion for service. SFI 2024: Exploring Food System Resilience in Asia

In July 2024, a group of RC4 students travelled to Chiang Mai, Thailand, for a research-focused trip centred on food systems resilience. The team delved into the complexities of Northern Thailand’s food system through lectures at Chiang Mai University and fieldwork, engaging with individuals across various food economy sectors including paddy farm owners, community-based organic food producers, and coffee farmers.

Ink Harmony

RC4lunteers, one of the RC4’s community service interest groups, organised “Ink Harmony” to engage seniors from Orange Valley Active Ageing Centre in art jamming, in support of NUS Cares and part of the Youth Corps Singapore’s Programme X. Leadership at the Fringe in Lombok and Pulau Sumba, Indonesia

In May & July 2023, as part of their Southeast Asia Friendship Initiative (SFI) course, UTC2725/UTS2712: Leadership at the Fringe, a total of 41 students joined A/P Tan Lai Yong and Dr. Li Jingping to Lombok and Pulau Sumba, Indonesia. The trip allowed the students to explore leadership at the fringe, with a focus on two United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – Food Security (Zero Hunger) and Climate Change (Climate Action).
